MT4 & Vertex Trading Platforms
MetaQuotes Software released the MT4 electronic trading platform in 2004, allowing clients to manage their accounts, access live streaming prices, analyse charts and place trades whilst brokers administer and manage the server-side component of MT4.
Whilst MT4 is the most widely used and a very stable electronic trading platform, Hybrid solutions soon followed with their platform Vertex. Vertex was released in 2005, adding advanced techniques for closing positions and offering enhanced flexibility with its customisable trading parameters per user (even within the same user group). Vertex is based upon a hierarchical organisational structure which means that actions can apply from a top down approach, which saves time, plus it includes a real-time transaction log that the user or dealing desk can see whenever they need to track any account activity.
The Citypoint MT4 and Vertex servers are very securely located in one of the best serviced data-centres in Europe. To back this up we have a highly skilled team with many years of experience to configure and manage our platforms and structure our backup server architecture for reliability.
We’ve partnered with top technology specialists to provide robust bridging software and connect accurate price feeds into these platforms.
All you need to run either MT4 or Vertex is a default windows PC with a reasonable internet connection; both platforms consume minimal computer resources, so they are both likely to have little impact on other software you might have running.
