The euro fell to a seven-month low against the dollar on Thursday, pressured by concerns about the fiscal health of Greece, Portugal and Spain and ahead of a European Central Bank policy meeting.
The euro EUR= fell 0.4 percent to $1.3844, its weakest since early July 2009, according to Reuters data, taking it below a key $1.3850 options barrier, traders said.
